Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger not only capped his first drive since returning from a significant leg injury with a touchdown pass, he crossed the 40,000-yard mark in the process.
Roethlisberger becomes the 16th NFL passer to reach the milestone and the ninth to do it with one team.
Only four quarterbacks reached 40,000 yards in fewer games than Roethlisberger.
A first-round pick in 2004, Roethlisberger has appeared in at least 12 games in every season of his career and has never finished with fewer than 2,385 passing yards or 17 touchdowns. He also ranks 13th in all-time playoff passing yards, winning two Super Bowls in the process.
