Report: Dolphins to determine Philbin's fate by Monday
With rumors swirling about Miami Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin's future with the team, it is now expected that owner Stephen Ross will make a decision by Monday on whether or not to part ways with Philbin, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.
The Dolphins had another disappointing performance Sunday, losing to the New York Jets 27-14 in London, and fell to 1-3 on the season
After an offseason of optimism, the Dolphins now look like one of the worst teams in the league, and that failure apparently could cost Philbin his job.
One of the key factors Ross will apparently consider is that he must prove to the players that he is looking to improve the team's situation, which could mean holding Philbin solely accountable.
There is some question as to who could replace Philbin from within the organization, as both coordinators Kevin Coyle and Bill Lazor have been criticized for their parts in the lackluster performances of the team.
