Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett was benched late in the third quarter of Sunday's 48-21 blowout loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Brian Hoyer took his place in the lineup with Houston trailing 42-0 and promptly threw a touchdown.
Mallett, who was named starter after Week 1, was 12-of-27 for 150 yards and an interception when he got the yank.
It's fair to say Texans head coach Bill O'Brien has a big decision to make about his quarterbacks after the game. He won't have much time to make it - the Texans host the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday.
