The Washington Redskins have agreed to terms with left tackle Trent Williams on a five-year contract extension worth $66 million, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
The deal, which reportedly includes $43.25 million in guarantees, will make the 27-year-old Williams the highest paid offensive tackle in NFL history.
Happy to announce I will be a redskin for the next 5 years. This is a dream come true HTTR 4 Life. #sbg

The failings of the Redskins' offensive line have come under the microscope in recent days, but there's no denying Williams' invaluable presence in the unit. The former fourth overall pick has earned Pro Bowl honors in each of the past three seasons.
