Chargers' Keenan Allen suffered broken collarbone vs. Broncos

The San Diego Chargers announced Tuesday that wide receiver Keenan Allen broke his collarbone Sunday against the Denver Broncos and will not play this week against the San Francisco 49ers.
Allen left Sunday's loss in a walking boot, but it turns out his foot may be the lesser of two injuries he suffered in the game.
Allen hasn't had surgery to repair his broken collarbone and isn't expected to require it. It appears as if the Chargers will try to avoid placing him on IR in hopes he can return to the team late in the playoffs, should the team advance to that point.
With Allen sidelined, Malcom Floyd and Eddie Royal will lead the Chargers' passing attack, with Seyi Ajirotutu likely ascending to the No. 3 role.
