Report: Broncos waive kicker Brandon McManus; sign Connor Barth

Rob Foldy / US PRESSWIRE

The Denver Broncos have waived kicker Brandon Mcmanus. The team has signed Connor Barth to replace him.

The Broncos reportedly worked out both Barth and veteran Jay Feely on Tuesday, but ultimately decided on Barth. Barth last kicked for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2012.

The deal with Barth is believed to be for the remainder of this season and two additional years, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post. That would keep Barth in Denver through the 2016 season.

McManus was waived after he missed a crucial kick Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. He was inconsistent all season.

Barth played with the Bucs' for four seasons before being released this summer. His best season came in 2011 when he made 92.9 percent of his field goal attempts.
