Report: Broncos' cuts include 2013 defensive starters Vickerson, Ihenacho
Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE / Reuters
The Denver Broncos upgraded their defense this offseason, signing several high-profile free agents including DeMarcus Ware and Aqib Talib.
Saturday, the team reportedly continued the defensive overhaul by releasing two players who were starters for the unit a year ago: defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson and safety Duke Ihenacho.
Both players had fallen down the depth chart in the ensuing months since the Broncos' Super Bowl loss, so neither release comes as a major surprise.
