Peyton Manning's wallet may be a little lighter because he stood up for a teammate.
Manning was reportedly fined $8,258 by the NFL Thursday for taunting Houston Texans safety D.J. Swearinger during Saturday night's preseason game.
Swearinger hit Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker in the head, and the veteran wideout was later diagnosed with a concussion.
Manning reacted like so:
The quarterback didn't seem too bothered by the fine.
"I accept it. Money well spent," Manning told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
