Chiefs, Jamaal Charles agree on contract extension worth a reported $18.1M over 2 years

The Kansas City Chiefs confirmed their star running back would be on the field when training camp opens.

Terms were not disclosed but reports have the deal as a two-year extension with $18.1 million of new money.

The deal would keep Charles under contract for the next four seasons and make him the second-highest paid running back in the league, behind Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings.
