Report: Chargers guard Jeromey Clary recovering from offseason shoulder, hip surgeries

San Diego Chargers offensive guard Jeromey Clary is not participating in team OTAs this week because he's recovering from two separate surgical procedures he underwent since the season ended, U-T San Diego's Michael Gehlken reports.

Per Gehlken, Clary had surgical procedures performed on both his shoulder and hip. 

Clary struggled last season - possibly due to the injuries that necessitated these surgeries. Perhaps his play will improve after he returns to full health, but the Chargers may not have the patience to wait. The team spent a third-round pick on guard Chris Watt and it's evident that upgrading the guard position is a priority.
