Irsay arrest came 2 weeks after reported overdose death in townhouse he owned
Things seem to be getting a whole lot worse before they start to improve for Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay since his March arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence and possession of a controlled substance.
Tim Evans and Mark Alesia of the Indianapolis Star report that a woman, whom Irsay had given a townhouse to last August, died of a suspected drug overdose two weeks before Irsay's arrest.
Her name was Kimberly Wundrum and her sister, Rhonda Wundrum, previously worked for Irsay as his personal masseuse.
Police found pictures of Irsay while searching Kimberly's home, along with drug paraphernalia found at the townhouse, but investigators are still trying to determine the relationship Irsay shared with her.
The final cause of her death remains unknown until police and the coroner receive the results of a toxicology test.
As well as providing documents which detail a lengthy relationship with Wundrum, the Star's report goes on to outline the backlash the NFL will face if they don't deal with the situation with the same scrutiny and punishments they would apply to a player facing similar charges.
