Seahawks LB Malcolm Smith wins Super Bowl MVP
In a dominating effort in Super Bowl XLVIII the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Denver Broncos 43-8. Any number of Seahawks could have been named the game's MVP, from quarterback Russell Wilson, to wide receiver Percy Harvin or just about anyone from Seattle's defense.
As it turned the award did go to a member of the Seahawks defense, and while he may not be the most well known member of the squad, he had a huge impact on the game.

Smith had nine tackles and recovered a Demaryius Thomas fumble early in the third quarter. However, Smith's biggest play came with under four minutes to go in the second quarter when he intercepted a Peyton Manning pass and returned it 69 yards for a touchdown.
The pick six made it 22-0 Seattle and seemed to dishearten the Broncos as they went into the half.
For winning the MVP award, Smith was given a brand new Chevrolet Silverado.
