Tony Romo undwerwent back surgery, will be placed on IR
If the Dallas Cowboys are to beat the Philadelphia Eagles and earn a postseason berth Sunday night, they'll have to do it without quarterback Tony Romo.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett announced that Romo underwent back surgery Friday morning and will be placed on season-ending injured reserve.
Jason Garrett said Romo should be able to come home today. No timetable. Won’t get into the specifics. “We feel like it went well.”
