Report: Steelers' Rodgers playing through at least 3 fractures in wrist
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play through a significant injury Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Rodgers has at least three fractures in his left wrist. One of the fractures is more consequential than the others, and the injury can only occur with significant force, Rapoport adds.
None of the broken bones are reportedly displaced, and Rodgers believes the current pain tolerance isn't an issue. Steelers players are impressed with Rodgers' ability to fight through the injury, Rapoport adds.
The 41-year-old was listed as a full participant in Thursday and Friday's practice leading up to Sunday's contest.
Rodgers missed his first game of the year last week in a 31-28 loss to the Chicago Bears after suffering the injury a week prior. Mason Rudolph started in his absence, completing 24 passes for 174 yards with one touchdown and two turnovers.
Pittsburgh, which is 6-5 heading into Week 13, can jump one game ahead of the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North standings with a win over Buffalo. Rodgers has thrown for 1,969 yards this season with 19 touchdowns to seven interceptions.
