Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said Tuesday that Jacoby Brissett will start at quarterback Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

Kyler Murray started the first five games before a foot injury sidelined him. He was inactive against Dallas, but Gannon hasn't ruled him out for the Seahawks game.

"Kyler will keep working on his health bucket," Gannon told reporters, according to Bo Brack of PHNX Sports. "I do like what the offense is doing right now, we've operated well."

Brissett has started the last three contests and is coming off a Monday night victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The veteran signal-caller went 21-for-31 for 261 yards with three total touchdowns, and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. had a career-high seven receptions for 96 yards and a score.

Doctors told Murray and the Cardinals that he'd miss four-to-eight weeks and face an increased risk of setback until his foot is properly healed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. But it appears that Gannon made the call to stick with Brissett regardless of Murray's condition.

After winning the first two games of the season, Murray went 0-3 in his next three starts and suffered the foot ailment. He's thrown for 962 yards with six touchdowns and four turnovers this season.

Murray, 28, is under contract through the 2028 season with cap hits of $43 million or more in each of the next three campaigns, according to Over The Cap. The former first overall pick signed a five-year, $230-million deal in July 2022.

The 3-5 Cardinals are in last place in the NFC West heading into Week 10.
