Rams' Nacua expected to return vs. Saints
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is expected to play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, head coach Sean McVay announced Monday, according to ESPN's Sarah Barshop.
Nacua sustained an ankle injury Oct. 12 and missed Los Angeles' contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London the following week. With the Rams coming off a bye, the 24-year-old is expected to return to practice Wednesday.
Nacua is the Rams' No. 1 weapon. He still tops the NFL with 65 targets and leads all L.A. receivers in yards (616) and catches (54). The third-year wideout has also scored three scrimmage touchdowns.
Nacua forms an elite duo with Davante Adams, who's caught six touchdowns in his first year with the Rams. Adams stepped up with Nacua sidelined, finding the end zone three times against the Jaguars.
The 5-2 Rams are one of three NFC West teams with five wins so far this season.
