Raiders' Bowers to miss 2nd straight game due to knee injury
Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers isn't expected to play Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, head coach Pete Carroll said Friday.
"We're not quite there yet," Carroll said when asked about Bowers' potential return this week, according to ESPN's Ryan McFadden. He didn't participate in practice Wednesday or Thursday.
The second-year pass-catcher is working through a knee injury that also caused him to miss last week's loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Bowers has recorded 19 catches for 225 yards through four games this season.
The Georgia product enjoyed a breakout rookie campaign in 2024 in which he hauled in 112 receptions for 1,194 yards and five touchdowns.
The Raiders could receive some good news regarding another tight end of theirs ahead of Sunday. Michael Mayer is trending toward a return to the field after missing the past two games with a concussion.
