Ravens' Henry frustrated with 4th-quarter fumble: 'I'm my worst critic'
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry was frustrated after his fourth-quarter fumble during Monday night's loss to the Detroit Lions.
"I'm at a loss for words," Henry said, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "This sucks right now. I ain't going to lie to y'all."
The costly mistake occurred with just over eight minutes left. Lions star pass-rusher Aidan Hutchinson punched the ball out of Henry's hands on the first play of the drive, leading to a Detroit field goal that extended their lead to 31-24. Baltimore ultimately lost the contest 38-30.
Henry was seen on the sideline slamming his helmet into the bench when he got off the field. The veteran running back has now fumbled in every contest this season.

"It's just crazy," Henry added. "Three fumbles (in three games) straight. I'm trying every day to fix the problem that just keeps occurring. I'm my worst critic, so I'm not going to try to beat myself up too much. But it's hard not to when it's consecutive and consistent (instances) of me doing the same thing."
He added: "Adversity is rough right now. But as long as we stay focused - and everybody else will stay focused - we'll try to turn this thing around. I know we will."
Henry, 31, has done a terrific job of holding onto the football in recent years. From 2023-2024, the rusher fumbled three times on 694 touches. This year, he's let the ball loose three times on 43 touches.
"That was kind of a blind shot there," head coach John Harbaugh said of Henry's mistake. "I thought he had the ball in good position. Still, we just want to protect the football; all our guys do, and we have to do it. We have to be good at it."
Baltimore dropped to 1-2 despite scoring 104 points in their three games. They are the only team since at least 2000 to have scored 100-plus points through three weeks and post a losing record.
The Ravens will face off against the 1-2 Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.
