Harbaugh relieved Lamar's injury not serious: 'Prayers do get answered'

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and the entire team took a deep sigh of relief after finding out quarterback Lamar Jackson only suffered a minor injury in Wednesday's practice.

"I told the guys, 'Prayers do get answered,'" Harbaugh said, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "I was praying."

Jackson left practice 40 minutes early after his foot was stepped on, but X-rays revealed no damage. He didn't practice Thursday.

"He's fine," Harbaugh said. "He's going to be good."

He added: "I'm sure it's a little sore."

Jackson led the NFL with a 119.6 passer rating last season, racking up 4,172 yards through the air and 41 touchdowns. The two-time MVP added another 915 yards on the ground and four rushing scores.

The Ravens open their season Sept. 7 on Sunday Night Football against the Buffalo Bills, who eliminated them in the AFC divisional round in last season's playoffs.
