Kupp suffers ankle injury, reportedly avoided 'worse-case scenario'
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp exited Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury.
After trainers briefly attended to him on the sideline, Kupp walked to the locker room. The Rams announced the star pass-catcher was doubtful to return, and he remained out for the rest of the game.
Initial tests on Kupp's ankle appear to show he avoided a worst-case scenario, sources told Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic. He'll reportedly undergo further testing in the next few days.
Kupp was injured when a Cardinals defender rolled up on his leg while he was trying to catch a high pass from quarterback John Wolford.

Rams head coach Sean McVay didn't have an update on Kupp's status after the game.
"I just know it didn't look good," McVay said, according to team reporter Stu Jackson.
With Matthew Stafford out due to a concussion, L.A.'s passing attack struggled for most of the NFC West clash. Kupp had three catches for -1 yard before exiting.
Kupp won Offensive Player of the Year honors last season after leading the league in receptions (145), yards (1,947), and touchdowns (16).
