Young football player apologizes for heckling Newton at tournament
A young football player who heckled Cam Newton at a 7-on-7 tournament has apologized for his remarks.
The player, Jseth Owens, was captured on camera taunting Newton by critiquing his skill and telling the signal-caller he was "about to be poor."

Owens later took to Twitter to apologize to Newton, his team, and coaches for his actions at the tournament.

"I realize this can dictate my future as a young man having very big dreams/goals, but I will not allow this to stop me from getting where I need to be. So again, I apologize and hope I can be forgiven," Owens wrote.
The former MVP shared an extended video of the conversation on his Instagram.
Newton was at the tournament serving as a coach.
