Both the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will look to keep positive trends going with their wardrobe selection for Super Bowl LV.

As the NFC representative in an NFC stadium (and the literal home team), the Buccaneers had the first choice in the uniform department and selected their attire: white jerseys and pewter pants.

As a wild-card team, the Bucs had to win three road games to get to the Super Bowl. They won their last two games in the white-jersey, pewter-pants combo.

But the white-top look carries historical significance, too. Bucs quarterback Tom Brady went 4-1 while wearing white in Super Bowls with the New England Patriots, and 13 of the last 16 champions have worn white jerseys, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

But the Chiefs should be just as confident wearing red.

Kansas City has won both of its Super Bowls donning red jerseys and white pants. The Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV and won Super Bowl IV over the Minnesota Vikings in that set.
