Broncos players mad after Patriots positive forces bye week
The Denver Broncos aren't happy about the scheduling changes forced on them due to the New England Patriots' continued COVID-19 issues.
The Broncos-Patriots game, which had already been moved from Sunday to Monday, was postponed again after New England recorded another positive test Sunday.
The contest will reportedly be pushed to next Sunday, requiring both teams to take their byes this week. Denver will also have its originally planned Week 6 matchup with the Miami Dolphins rescheduled.
Running back Melvin Gordon was among the Broncos players who took to Twitter to express their frustration with the situation:
Ain’t no way we practiced all week and they canceled our game

The Broncos' bye was slated for Week 8.
The Pittsburgh Steelers can relate to Denver's struggles.
The AFC North club will play 13 straight games after the Tennessee Titans' coronavirus outbreak forced the Week 4 matchup between the two teams to be rescheduled to Week 7 and eliminated Pittsburgh's Week 8 bye.
