Seahawks' Baldwin named Pro Bowl replacement for Larry Fitzgerald
Seattle Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin has been named to the NFC Pro Bowl team as a replacement for Arizona Cardinals wideout Larry Fitzgerald.
It will be Baldwin's second consecutive trip to the NFL's all-star game.
Fitzgerald made the initial team of four receivers picked for the NFC roster, but has bowed out of the annual game due to injury.
In his seventh season, Baldwin led the team with 75 receptions and 991 yards. He added eight touchdowns.
"Before, I was just getting by on my athleticism, but talking to Larry and some other guys across the league, they really taught me the chess match that's within the game of football," Baldwin said of Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald recorded another 100-catch, 1,000-yard season and climbed to No. 3 on the list of most receptions in NFL history.
