Fan set himself on fire after losing bet on Cowboys-Packers
A bet over Sunday's Dallas Cowboys-Green Bay Packers game resulted in one fan setting himself ablaze.
A 27-year-old man in Vero Beach, Fla., was rushed to the hospital with third-degree burns to his right arm and hand and second-degree burns on his back after wearing a Cowboys jersey that had been set on fire, according to Andy Hodges of the Sebastian Daily.
Police spoke to a couple at the hospital, who admitted that they agreed to burn the jersey of the losing team. After the Packers won, the husband - who was drunk at the time - went outside to set his jersey on fire, but then decided to put it on as it was burning.
"He was set on fire after losing a bet on the Cowboys game," a witness said. "Skin was hanging off his arm and back."
