Report: Seahawks agree to 1-year deal with safety Bradley McDougald
The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free-agent safety Bradley McDougald, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reports.
McDougald's deal to join the Seahawks will be worth $2 million, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Coming off a season in which Seattle's defense completely dropped off after losing Earl Thomas to injury, the addition of McDougald provides some much-needed depth to the back end.
The 26-year-old, who spent the last four seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, should both slot in as a primary backup to Thomas and have the opportunity to contribute in sub packages.
McDougald enjoyed the most productive season of his career before testing the free-agent market, recording 91 tackles, two interceptions, and 10 passes defensed while starting all 16 games.
