Report: Falcons' Trufant needs season-ending surgery
Bad news for the Atlanta Falcons.
Cornerback Desmond Trufant requires season-ending surgery for a torn pectoral, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Trufant was listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals, but his injury appears more significant than once thought.
The Falcons lead the NFC South with a 6-4 record, but face the rest of their schedule without their best corner.
Trufant was injured on Nov. 3 and hasn't played since. He has one interception and a combined 31 tackles on the season.
