Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase all but ruled out running back Arian Foster returning to the lineup in Week 4 for the team's "Thursday Night Football" game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaking to reporters Monday, Gase strongly suggested Foster needs more time to heal from the groin injury that forced him to miss Week 3.

"We're going to make sure he's at the right place for us," Gase said of his veteran rusher.

The Dolphins managed to win without Foster on Sunday, though it would have been a loss had Cleveland Browns kicker Cody Parkey not missed a 46-yard field goal as regulation time expired.

Jay Ajayi scored the winning touchdown on an 11-yard run in overtime. The Dolphins' sophomore handled seven carries for 28 yards in Foster's absence, while rookie Kenyan Drake got the start and managed 37 yards on nine attempts.

It's likely Foster will start when healthy, but it appears Ajayi and Drake will get at least one more week to show what they can do in a larger role.
