Jerry Rice changes position, offers support to Kaepernick's protest
Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice evidently changed his mind about Colin Kaepernick's decision to protest police brutality and racial inequality during the national anthem.
Rice initially blasted Kaepernick for "disrespecting the flag," after the quarterback was spotted sitting during the national anthem prior to an Aug. 26 preseason game.
Kaepernick's protest has continued, gained national attention - both positive and negative - and the quarterback told reporters Tuesday that he's even received death threats as a result.
It's unclear what altered Rice's position, but the former 49ers wide receiver praised Kaepernick publicly on Twitter.
I support @Kaepernick7 for bringing awareness for injustice !!!! As Americans we all have rights! Im hoping we all come together#solution
