Report: Lions release Brandon Thomas

The Detroit Lions have released lineman Brandon Thomas. The move comes only five days after he was acquired from the San Francisco 49ers for Jeremy Kerley, Rand Getlin of NFL Network reports.
Thomas started in the Lions final preseason game before he was released.
The former third-round pick will now look for his third team in two years.
