Kaepernick cornered by overzealous fans, told he's as great as Cam Newton

Colin Kaepernick got more than he bargained for after stopping to take a selfie with some fans at the Ritz-Carlton in Los Angeles on Friday.

One of the fans took it upon himself to deliver a motivational speech to the San Francisco 49ers quarterback, saying he believes Kaepernick will be able to return to his 2012-13 form, and adding that he's just as great as Cam Newton.

All Kaepernick could do was stand there uncomfortably, insisting, "We ain't the same person."
