The lawsuit, which was filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Boston, accused commissioner Roger Goodell of committing fraud, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and racketeering. It also contended the league's investigation into the "Deflategate" scandal failed to implicate the Patriots or quarterback Tom Brady.
Patriots owner Robert Kraft recently wrote a letter to Goodell asking that the pick be returned, however Goodell said there was no "new information" in the letter that would lead him to do so.
