Swansea boss Garry Monk looks to right horrific Tottenham record
Swansea City has had a horrid time against Tottenham since its 2011 promotion to the top flight.
The Swans have lost their last seven matches against Spurs, and manager Garry Monk is desperate to end that drab run.
Speaking at Friday's pre-game conference, Monk insisted his side has put in decent performances against the North London outfit.
"We've had some very good games against them since we've been in the Premier League," he said. "But at the same time we have only taken one point from those matches, even if we have deserved better in some games.
"But its a record that we want to change, that's our focus and we'll be aiming to do that this weekend."
Monk alluded to the 2-1 home loss, when his side fell to a late Christian Eriksen strike, and the 3-2 defeat at White Hart Lane in 2014-15 when defending his team's showings against Mauricio Pochettino's side.
In the first two months of the term, Swansea started well, but has since gone winless in four matches. It seems teamwork is the key if the club is to turn its fortunes around.
"It's important that we improve as a team," he said. "The two games we haven't performed in - Watford and Southampton - have come in a short space of time and for me it is about us performing better and then we'll be fine.
"The chances we have created have fallen to different players, but I don't mind who scores because its all about winning games.
"It's about that consistency level - to try and get back to where we were at the start of the season."
