Daniel Hemric: Wins Xfinity Pole at Daytona

Hemric won the pole for the PowerShares QQQ 300 Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway Saturday morning. He turned a fast lap of 189.310 mph.

Analysis:

Hemric's No. 21 Chevrolet has been fast ever since the team unloaded it this weekend. So it was no surprise to see the Richard Childress Racing driver claim the top starting spot for Saturday afternoon's season-opener at Daytona. Hemric beat out Kyle Larson to claim his second-career Xfinity pole. He'll be a contender to win the PowerShares QQQ 300.
