Blue Jays reunite with Hale, who joins Schneider's coaching staff
The Toronto Blue Jays hired DeMarlo Hale as their associate manager under John Schneider, the team announced Monday.
Hale returns to the Blue Jays after serving as their bench coach from 2013-18.
Hale joins a Blue Jays coaching staff that includes Schneider as manager, Don Mattingly as bench coach and offensive coordinator, and Pete Walker as pitching coach, among others.
DeMarlo Hale's duties as associate manager will include a focus on run-prevention co-ordination through defence. Almost like a fielding version of Don Mattingly's new additional role as offensive co-ordinator. https://t.co/Qe3U9fRHSK
