Giants select 2-way prep phenom Bryce Eldridge 16th overall
With the 16th pick in the 2023 MLB Draft, the San Francisco Giants selected Bryce Eldridge, a first baseman and right-handed pitcher out of Madison County High School in Virginia.
The highest-ranking two-way athlete in the draft, Eldridge entered the event ranked as the No. 21 overall prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.
A 6-foot-7 Alabama commit, Eldridge has a well-rounded skill set on both sides of the ball and could genuinely be developed as a two-way phenom. If he develops more as a hitter, a move to the outfield isn't out of the question.
