Report: Maxey to miss 3-4 weeks with foot fracture
Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey is expected to miss three-to-four weeks after fracturing a bone in his left foot during Friday's win over the Milwaukee Bucks, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Maxey isn't expected to require surgery, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.
The 22-year-old was ruled out for the entire second half after checking out with the injury late in the second quarter. He contributed 24 points on 3-of-4 shooting from deep to go with five assists and four rebounds in just under 21 minutes.
Despite leaving early, the performance improved his averages amid a breakout campaign to 22.9 points, 4.4 assists, and 3.5 rebounds on 42.2% 3-point shooting.
The 76ers are already dealing with several injury absences on the roster; James Harden has been sidelined since Nov. 2 with a strained foot tendon. The 76ers were also without Furkan Korkmaz and Tobias Harris on Friday due to a knee and a hip ailment, respectively.
