Raptors re-sign Boucher to 3-year, $35.25M contract; Young inks 2-year, $16M deal
The Toronto Raptors re-signed Chris Boucher to a three-year, $35.25-million contract, his agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Veteran forward Thaddeus Young is also back with Toronto after agreeing to a two-year, $16-million deal with the addition of performance incentives, his agents told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.
Boucher has spent the past four seasons with the Raptors, emerging as a vital role player. The Canadian big man took a step back last season after a breakout 2020-21 campaign, averaging 9.4 points, 6.2 boards, and 0.9 blocks while shooting just 29.7% from deep over 80 appearances.
However, Boucher turned things around during the postseason, posting 11.2 points, 5.8 boards, and 1.2 blocks per game in the club's first-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Meanwhile, Young averaged 6.3 points and made nearly 40% of his 3-point attempts after joining Toronto in a midseason trade from the San Antonio Spurs.
