Bryson DeChambeau won't get to defend his title at Bay Hill after all.

The world No. 12 withdrew from the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Monday, he announced on Twitter.

DeChambeau initially planned to play in the tournament after missing nearly a month with hand and hip injuries, but he says he needs more time to recover. He last played at the Saudi International in early February.

The 28-year-old won last year's tournament by one stroke over Lee Westwood.
