Detroit Pistons forward Jerami Grant will be re-evaluated in six weeks after suffering a UCL sprain in his right thumb, the team announced.

The 27-year-old sustained the injury in Friday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Josh Jackson and Trey Lyles could see extended minutes in Grant's absence.

Grant is having another solid season for the Pistons, averaging a team-high 20.1 points, 4.8 boards, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks over 24 appearances.

Detroit inked the 2014 second-round pick to a three-year, $60-million contract in November 2020. He was the runner-up for last season's Most Improved Player award.
