Tennessee's Barnes, others test positive for COVID-19
Tennessee announced it has suspended all team activities after multiple people within the program tested positive for COVID-19, including head coach Rick Barnes.
The 66-year-old is currently in isolation while the program undergoes retests.
Barnes is the latest high-profile head coach to test positive for the virus. Hall of Famers Jim Boeheim and Tom Izzo as well as Baylor bench boss Scott Drew have all recently announced they've contracted COVID-19.
Barnes has spent the past five seasons with the Volunteers after a highly successful 17-year run with Texas. Tennessee has captured an SEC regular-season championship and made one Sweet 16 appearance during his time on the sideline.
The Volunteers are scheduled to open their 2020-21 campaign Wednesday against Charlotte.
