Kentucky lands 4-star forward, former Louisville top commit Bryce Hopkins
Four-star forward Bryce Hopkins has committed to Kentucky's 2021 class after decommitting from Louisville in August.
The Illinois native initially committed to the Cardinals in November 2019 and was their top-ranked 2021 recruit. However, he decommitted from the program this past summer due to "uncertainties" over potential sanctions following the NCAA's notice of allegations to the school.
Hopkins is ranked 32nd on the 2021 ESPN 100. The 6-foot-6 forward joins Nolan Hickman as the Wildcats' confirmed prospects in the 2021 class.
"I know I'll be pushed day in and day out and I just want to be part of a team that's going to be a winning program," he told Adam Zagoria of Zagsblog. "And they develop their guys to get to the next level so I want to be a part of that."
Along with Kentucky, Hopkins told Zagoria Providence and Illinois were in his final three.
