Top-ranked sit-out transfer Landers Nolley committed to Memphis, he announced Monday.

The ex-Virginia Tech wing averaged 15.5 points and 5.8 rebounds en route to earning ACC All-Freshman honors last season. Nolley scored the sixth-most total points in the ACC (495) on a conference-leading 33.9 usage percentage.

Georgia and Ole Miss were also in the running for Nolley's services.

The former four-star recruit has three years of eligibility remaining but won't play in 2020-21 unless the NCAA grants him a transfer waiver.

Should Nolley be permitted to play this upcoming season, it would be a big boost for a Tigers squad that is likely losing AAC Player of the Year Precious Achiuwa to the NBA and has already seen guard Tyler Harris enter the transfer portal.

Memphis recently missed out on No. 1 2020 recruit Jalen Green but is still in the mix for five-star prospect and McDonald's All-American Greg Brown.

The Tigers posted a 21-10 overall record this past season, including a 10-8 mark in conference play.
