Episode two of the documentary series will immediately follow at 10 p.m. ET, and two new episodes will air every Sunday thereafter in the same time slot, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press.
"The Last Dance" was first announced in May 2018 and originally slated for a June 2020 release. But with the league on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic, many on social media called for ESPN to bump up the documentary's premiere.
The series centers around the 1997-98 Chicago Bulls and features both interviews and never-released footage from Jordan's last championship campaign.
