Is a comeback season in the works?

Fourteen-year NBA veteran Lamar Odom has bandied about the possibility of resuming his playing career. Just don't expect him to show up in an arena stateside.

"I'm just working out trying to work my way back overseas," Odom told TMZ Sports while leaving a Glendale, Calif., gym.

Where exactly?

"It don't matter," said Odom, who last appeared in the NBA in 2012-13 with the Los Angeles Clippers. "Maybe Italy, something like that."

The 2010-11 Sixth Man of the Year averaged 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game over his career, capturing back-to-back titles with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010. Those accomplishments, however, have been overshadowed in recent years by an expansive list of off-court concerns.

His struggles with addiction and substance abuse have been well-documented. In October 2015, Odom was hospitalized after being found unconscious in a Nevada brothel; the cause of that particular episode was reportedly kidney failure due to a dangerous cocktail of cocaine and sexual enhancement supplements.

Odom cited his drug use as a significant factor in his divorce from reality TV star Khloe Kardashian and the stagnation of his basketball career. He offered no comment to TMZ about the recent birth of Kardashian's child, True, with Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson.
