Embiid listed as doubtful for Game 3 vs. Heat

Joel Embiid may be sick and tired of being babied, but the Philadelphia 76ers don't appear swayed by his frustration at his continued absence.

With their first-round series tied 1-1, the Sixers have listed Embiid as doubtful for Game 3 against the Miami Heat on Thursday.

The All-Star center has missed the last 10 games with an orbital bone fracture, and Monday's Game 2 was the first time the Sixers have lost in his absence. They'd blown out the Heat by 27 points in Game 1.

The Sixers were worse by 11.8 points per 100 possessions with Embiid on the bench during the regular season, but in the final eight games they played without him before the playoffs, they posted a league-best 15.5 net rating as Ben Simmons flourished in the lead-dog role.

Embiid finished the season with averages of 22.9 points, 11 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.8 blocks in 63 games.
