Report: Darvish delay due to a number of factors
It's not a matter of if ace right-hander Yu Darvish signs, but when and where. There have been suitors aplenty - the list has not exactly narrowed - and there's still no definitive favorite to land the highly sought starting pitcher.
A number of factors are holding up his decision, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reports. Both the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are attempting to clear salary to be able to sign Darvish while staying below the league's luxury tax threshold.

The odds of this happening are "probably somewhat slim," as Rosenthal said on MLB Network Wednesday morning.
The Milwaukee Brewers are considered a realistic landing spot and are having continued discussions with Darvish, FanRag Sports' Robert Murray reported Tuesday.
With this amount of interest - several other teams are also in on him -, Darvish's camp is simply waiting for their preferred price.
