LaVar starting up league for players who want to skip NCAA
LaVar Ball is going toe to toe with the NCAA.
The ardent father, who pulled son LiAngelo Ball from UCLA earlier this month in favor of a professional contract in Lithuania, is now planning on making it possible for other high school graduates to skip the NCAA in order to join his "Junior Basketball Association" and earn between $3,000 and $10,000 per month.
"Getting these players is going to be easy," Ball revealed to ESPN's Darren Rovell. "This is giving guys a chance to get a jump start on their career, to be seen by pro scouts, and we're going to pay them because someone has to pay these kids."
Though the organization won't feature any of Ball's three sons, the league's logo is a silhouette of oldest son and Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball gearing up for a dunk.

The league will be completely sponsored by the family's Big Baller Brand, meaning players will not be permitted to wear any products made by another brand on the court.
"We'll give it to them all," Ball said. "They'll be wearing our uniform, our shoes, our T-shirts and our hoodies."
