Longtime Atlanta Braves executive John Schuerholz and team president John Hart are in disagreement over the club's decision-making, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

Schuerholz "would love" to have current Kansas City Royals general manager Dayton Moore - who worked for the Braves for 12 years as the team's farm director and assistant general manager - groom Schuerholz's son Jonathan, the Braves assistant director of player development.

Hart - whose contract has expired - prefers to ride things out with the organization as it searches for a new GM to replace John Coppolella, who resigned after an MLB investigation determined he violated international spending rules.

Moore, meanwhile, is only interested in leaving Kansas City if he's ensured the role of president of baseball operations, a position currently held by Hart, further complicating matters in Atlanta, sources say, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Despite being without a contract, Hart fully expects to remain in his current role.

The Braves pursued Moore prior to hiring Coppolella in 2015, but the executive - who is extremely loyal to Royals owner David Glass - decided to stay put as Kansas City contended for a World Series title, winning it a few weeks later.
