AP Poll: Georgia jumps to No. 5 as USC plummets to No. 14

The top four spots in Sunday's edition of the AP Poll remain unchanged, but a new dog has emerged in the top-five yard thanks to a convincing shutout victory Saturday.

Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, and Penn State held onto their respective spots, while Georgia earned the No. 5 slot by blowing out Tennessee.

Washington State was the week's biggest winner, vaulting five spots to No. 11 thanks to a thrilling win over USC. That same game caused the Trojans to fall from the No. 5 spot and out of the top 10 completely on their way down to No. 14.

Mississippi State and LSU were both left out this week thanks to unflattering defeats. Taking their places are NC State and Central Florida at No. 24 and No. 25, respectively.
